At the heart of Tiago & Tania's work is a simple belief: photography is not just a way to document reality, but a language that can tell stories, evoke emotions, and create lasting connections.
Our Manifesto brings together the principles that guide every project: careful research and craftsmanship, a conscious commitment to rarity, and a genuine dialogue between artist and collector. For this reason, each series is limited to six numbered prints and one exclusive Master Print. This choice preserves the value, uniqueness, and expressive power of every image. Each artwork is created to build a relationship of trust and connection with the people who choose to make it part of their space and their story.
The BlazoN
Symbol of Their Modus Operandi
Drawing on the centuries-old tradition of heraldic crests, Tiago & Tania’s blazon encapsulates their creative process and core values through four key emblems:
THE CROW
In medieval lore, the crow represents wisdom forged through experience. Here it signifies the duo’s commitment to living fully gathering personal stories and transforming them into collectible photographs.
The Mountain Horizon
Echoing the jagged peaks found on ancient shields, the stylized mountains stand for the ambitions and challenges Tiago & Tania embrace on every expedition. Each summit reached is a new creative milestone.
The Six Stars
Inspired by classical star arrangements in European heraldry, the six stars represent both the number of photographs in each series and the number of prints available for each image emphasizing the exclusivity and cohesion of every collection.
The Crescent Moon
Historically a symbol of rarity and renewal in heraldry, the moon here marks the one-off “primo scatto” of each collection: a singular image, unpublished and made available only to those who own at least one piece from the series.
